What Is an IP Speaker?

Bell Schedules

In an IP system, bell schedules are often managed by a central controller or scheduling server, which sends the bell signal to all speakers simultaneously over the network. Paging

Announcements are made from a microphone (often in the main office) that's connected to the network. When the office keys the mic, an audio stream goes out over the network to all speakers (or a selected group of them) simultaneously. Volume levels can be adjusted per-speaker if some rooms need it louder or quieter.
